Industrial plants carefully implement safety procedures and systems at production lines. However, the safety of the plant also depends on the workers. Nevertheless, it is impossible to predict what they will do. The data suggests that accidents occur on production lines mainly due to workers’ mistakes and negligence. Accidents’ consequences result not only in losses for the company but, most importantly, in the loss of health or life of those operating the machines.
An indirect benefit for companies is the reduction of costs associated with downtime. It can amount to tens of thousands per minute.
